Default CGPAD - Creature of the Week 2009 - RULES

Welcome to the CGPAD Creature of the Week 2009!

Its been a while, but we're back again for COTW 09 - whoop!

Now, for COTW, the main goal is this - create the best creature for the topic each week, beat your rivals and win the respect of your peers. Couldn't be simpler!

Timescale:

Its a weekly challenge, that starts on Sunday and ends on Friday, with voting on Saturday - each week.

Anyone can enter and you don't have to enter each time.

Rules & Guidlines:

Creatures should ideally be in full body view, no heads only please, for a design to be effective its good to see and understand the whole creature's anatomy.

No gelatinous blobs please, use your imagination :)

Images should not be massive, or tiny. A good viewing size helps, e.g A4

Any medium you like, except exclusively 3D. 2d/3d mix is ok.

Please dont put text / website links / massive sigs all over your images as it spoils them. If you want to watermark your image thats fine, just do it so that you can see the image clearly, or, even better, just sign it normally.

Background is entirely optional, although it can help to set the environment or habitat for your creature to compliment the design and tell more about your creatures function by giving it some context.

Please stick to the topic!

Notes / Disclaimer:

This is a weekly activity open to members only, best design will be chosen by vote and announced at the end of the challenge.

No prizes or points as such will be given.

As always, copyright remains that of the original artist / author. But by submitting an image to this challenge you agree to allow cgpad to display/use the image.

Rules are subject to change at any time, it is the responsibility of members to stay up to date with the rules and guidlines.
