COTW 09 - 06 - Was that a rabbit or bigfoot?
Welcome once again to the CGPAD Creature of the Week 2009!
For those of you not yet "in the know"; the main goal of COTW is this - just put your pens, pencils, tablets, (toothpicks?) to the proverbial grindstone, and create THE best creature for the topic each week, beat your friendly rivals, and win the respect of your CGPAD-peers!
Got it?! Good, because your theme for this week, if you haven't already noticed is:
"Was that a rabbit or bigfoot?"
Its slightly weird but should be interesting! Make sure to post your work in here. WIPs are certainly welcome, but be sure to read the rules first.
Timescale: Challenges start when the clock strikes Sunday and ends on midnight Friday, with voting all day Saturday - each week...roughly
If you have any questions just check the COTW Rules & Guidlines, or contact the least-crazy CGPAD staffer.

Well.....I'm not quite sure what to make of this one. I think I may have to switch modes here and try something......different.

Okeydokey, here ya go. It's Big foot and a rabbit.
The elusive, desert mountain dwelling Red Rock Yard Ape.
The Red Rock Yard Ape, or Rug Monkey as some have come to call him, is generaly a friendly fellow with a pension for thrill seeking and overzealous pranking.
He prefers warmer climates but also loves high, islolated places where he can find the perfect combination of solitude and unsuspecting hikers and campers. His diet consists mainly of rabbit, prairie dogs and the occasional burger or snack bar. He enjoys playing with snails and slime, leaping off cliffs and howling at the wind.

Come on you guys. Part of bettering ourselves as artists is to push our selves out of our comfort zones. Now I know there are some of you out there who can put my little rendition to shame so lets see em! Put your big foot....I mean best foot forward and give it a go!

Re: COTW 09 - 06 - Was that a rabbit or bigfoot?
ok...kept it silly IGB; and story forthcoming...I gotta take quick break first :D
*story added*
Fair word of warnin' folks, 'cause if you travellin' about in these dark woods; you should be aware about a certain creature in and around these parts. A creature that's unlike ANY other found in this here world...
The scared locals all have a singular name for it...sounds quite silly at first mention, I suppose; but they come to call it "Blood-Thumper", and for good reason; as it happens to be one mean, flesh and bone eatin' sonnuva-BISHH!
Now...if you do decide to stick around, you'll no doubt be hearin' lotsa stories about it I'm sure...but really only a few 'unlucky' individuals done seen, and heard this creature over the centuries, and more than likely all while they took the opportunity to run away while it was chompin' up the entrails of one of their friends.
I reckon you may be askin' just why anyone, even a seasoned hunter would be wantin' to come across this freakishly oversized bunny if it's so dangerous yeah? I mean, it would have to be more than just gettin' the kill, and provin' the stories to be true, no?
Well, accordin' to hunters-legend, any dang fool who DOES manage to cut off one of Blood-Thumpers big-glowin' feet?; if the fates really shinin' on 'em; whose to say they couldn't possibly become the luckiest person in the world?
