If you like the work of Brian Froud and Alan Lee, particularly in the book Faeries, try this guy. The site doesn't work that well for me, but that may just be my set up. His drawing is lovely and fluent though, even from the little I could see.

Michael Parks - visually stunning, surreal and symbolic.
Artemisia Gentileschi - light and shadow, dramatic, great story teller, and an inspiring classic action painter.
Koji Morimoto - strange and beautiful, if you are a graphic designer or into elements of design, you really should check out his work...very unique.

Koji Morimoto has an awesome artbook called "Orange" a must-have for every artist!! He is a master of using marker to shade, and his ideas are just so strange and creative...must check out!
