Default Mac users, help plx

Hi everyone,
So I just got a brand new Imac etc, very fun and cool and fast and whatnot. But it seems I too have fallen victem to the whole KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE error. Does anyone around here have any experience with any of this?
The funny thing is, it's only with photoshop and the rest seems fine so. Looked at a million forums, tried a million things and the only conclusion so far is: ' Sometimes you have good days, sometimes bad days' but surely that cant be right.
So;

anyone?

Check out this link. You may have already viewed it but it sounds like its an issue with comaptability. Adobe vs new Imac OS. One suggestion was to try the Adobe Updater to update to version 10.0.1

Here's the link.

thanks for the suggestion but sadly that didnt work.
I've been out of painting commission for almost a week now and I cant seem to get it fixed. Tomorrow someone will come by and take a look at it, hopefully fixing the problem, guess I'll have to be patient a little bit longer.

Can you give me some more specifics on what version photoshop you are running and whats its latest revision number?

Do yo have the latest OSX Patches?

You have any custom peripheral except a wacom of course?

You have a bootcamp install?

Did you install photoshop fresh or merged your data from your old mac?

Currently running:
leopard 10.5.4
Photoshop CS3 Extended 10.0.1
2.66ghz Dual core (Intel)
Ati Radeon 2600gt
4gb RAM

that's the thread I posted on the official adobe forums, so far without any luck.
Hope that proves more helpful.
Cheers

I'm sure you're itching to get back in the swing by now Crahzz, but yeah, you definitely don't want to void any terms of warranty that you may have going on with your new system. I hope this is resolved for you soon.

just installed a brand new version of CS3, not the regular but the fancy one with everything on it and still the same thing.
Going to an apple dealer of some sort to see if I can get this fixed, it's beginning to look more and more like a hardware ram issue. Although that seems strange since it's only affecting photoshop.

alright, got a completely new iMac.
Photoshop crashed once so far, I think it's my brush set. Can anyone link me to the brush download part of this site? I remember downloading something after mull recommended it to me, see if that helps. Right now I'm using the brushes Levente is using, want to be sure again what the problem is, although I have a lot of updating etc to go so I'm not jumping to conclusions yet =)
