Hey Thujon; given how much you've put into improving your work methods, it would be difficult for us to just blindly penalize you for the errors; (even if the rest of us had been able to squeeze in something ourselves this week lol) but of course, always double-check and cement-in those guidelines for your real clients :)

also yep, I agree that those Chan vids are insightful in a quite a few aspects of digi-paints. I love how your concept has come along man. of course time was a factor here, and you are trying out some new things, but if you happen to revisit this, or come across something similar in your next creation, concentrate as well on promoting differences between textures...

for ex: skin vs. metallic attire...rough vs. smooth surfaces. how highlights should "read" differently depending on that surface-tooth, etc....excelsior!
Ahhh..... Love your comments every time I read them.... they are so insightfull, THX for this....

Yep the guidelines are sometimes a tricky thing...
It was really a tough time to render this basterd... and about the different surfaces... you are absolutely right, I guess this will come when I have gotten some xp with rendering things out..... I posted yesterday my latest piece... and there I was doing exactly that trying out to give some texture or "life" to this "artificial" rendered feeling... I hope you know what I mean.... ;-)

Arrgghhh my head is so full of chaos....

Well, guess I missed the deadline this week!

Have had precious little time this week for anything other than an incredibly brief train-sketch. But here's the idea I had anyway - only smidged some colour behind.

WW2 Wendigo Soldier - Some of our brave boys who got stuck behind hostile enemy lines during the war, without rations, had to resort to cannibalism - eating the corpses of enemies they killed.

One such soldier stumbled upon an abandoned nazi weapons cache. And in it, inside a glass case, was the ruby medallion - a sacred artifact that can open a portal within the soul of the wearer. One that lets in all sorts of nasty [or nice] stuff, depending on the persons true nature.

On wearing the medallion the soldier became possessed by the wendigo demon, a match for his vile acts of survival. Now he is cursed, set to endlessly wander the battlefield in search of corpses to eat.

Shame I didn't get to finish it, but something for the 'free time' I guess!

fly concept, IGB
I'm thinking a MW2 and demon-zombie combo-mod of some sort would be hard to beat on the market right now

Wow, nice work Thujon and really great concept IGB. Like others, this week sort of took a turn that left little time for me to get something workable for the challenge.

I'll go ahead an post what I got anyway.

........or not, seems the uploader is taking way too long. Ah well. Good job guys!

Ah, there we go. just needed a little refresher.
