I can't thank you enough for your insight thoughts :) Did you started with white as brush color on your first step? And just control the opacity with the pen pressure?

Beautiful. Fantastic tutorial in terms of composition, but I have a hard time getting my head around how you actually MAKE those changes, so I think a video tutorial would be absolutely fantastic.
